Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 – Legislation
The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 specifies any animal being treated should be registered with a veterinary surgeon. Upon booking an appointment Amy will require confirmation of your registered vet and contact details to send the appropriate report to, following treatment, to be placed on file.
Maintenance treatments can now take place without specific veterinary referral; however, all animals should be referred to a vet at the first sign of any concerns which may suggest underlying health issues.
If the animal requires any treatment for a specific condition or area of concern, Amy will require vet permission/referral. Please find the consent form here, this must be completed and returned prior to your appointment. If you require any further information or advice when obtaining vet permissions, please contact Amy. Amy reserves the right to refer any case back to your vet if she has any concerns regarding underlying health issues.
